Losing love..

There he was, cross legged, newspaper spread, eyes down,
the man she'd been hearing about ever since she'd arrived in town.
Decidedly indifferent, surely an intellect,
but her heart was telling her, that there is much more to get..

Not looking up, but reading the newspaper,
immersed completely in it, a habit she was to discover later.
At first, she was intimidated with the indifferent demeanour,
little did She know how his charms would spellbind her..

What a man she thought, how drawn she was..
& he asked her out for a cup of coffee,
Rain Gods blessed them
She was ecstatic

The movies, the rides, the long long drives, the walks togethers, the shared breezers & wines,
The comics and pizzas. the library trips.
The flowers & candlelit surprises. The off and on ruthna manana,
The effervescent late kyun ho gaye bahanas
They were meant to be, and they were,
just before he went away....

It was his fury at her life,
that led him towards the careless drive,
It claimed his life,
how she cried.
She killed him ?
- it haunts her !

the wind bears with it,
testimony of their love,
the fragrance of him,
Engulfs her forever.

She remembers him so fondly,
hoping he wishes her well from above!
